Giving back is in our DNA
Giving back is in our DNA ❤️
One of our favourite restaurant rituals is giving our guests a Local Matters token and letting them vote for the community group closest to their hearts. As our NSW Growth Coach, Rachel shares, giving back to the communities we serve runs deep in our blood.
“I adore our Local Matters program for so many reasons. It gives our young teams exposure to doing something good, not because you have to, but because you can. It creates an opportunity for them to get involved and engage with groups that they are passionate about, in a different manner.
“It is not uncommon for our Team Members to approach our Restaurant Managers with groups they think would benefit from the program”.
This month our NSW restaurants have been supporting three incredible community groups on their Local Matters jars, who all happen to love running as much as we do. Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) and Running for Premature Babies both shared the impact of being part of our Local Matters program with our team.
“We’re incredibly grateful to be part of Grill’d’s Local Matters initiative. Being recognised alongside other community organisations making a difference is a true honour, and every vote cast for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation helps us continue providing the best possible care for sick kids and their families,” shares Director of Corporate Giving and Special Events, Rhiahne Ralph.
Running for Premature Babies CEO, Gary Trenaman says that being part of our Local Matters program helps them reach more people, inspire more movement, and ultimately save more lives.
“Being part of Grill’d’s Local Matters program has provided Running for Premature Babies with a powerful way to raise awareness for our mission to give premature babies a better chance of survival. Every vote cast helps fund life-saving equipment for premature babies”.

We’re in the business of good burgers. Sounds simple, right? But it takes a lot of good people to get the job done.
